Basic knowledge is all you need to organize your trip independently and enjoy local attractions and optional excursions on site.  <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-formalnosci-i-dokumenty-co-musisz-miec-przed-wylotem\">Formalities and Documents \u2013 What You Need Before Departure<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">You can enter the Dominican Republic without major issues \u2013 <strong>all you need is a passport valid for at least 6 months from your return date<\/strong> and an E-Ticket, which you complete online before your trip. A visa is not required for tourist stays up to 30 days. However, if you plan a longer stay, for example, for <a href=\"https:\/\/casa-dominicana.com\/nieruchomosci-na-dominikanie\">real estate investment<\/a>, you must submit an application. It is possible to <a href=\"https:\/\/casa-dominicana.com\/przedluz-swoj-pobyt-czyli-ile-dni-mozna-legalnie-spedzic-w-dominikanie\/\">extend your stay<\/a> for a maximum of 120 days (including the initial 30 days) by submitting an application to the Dominican Directorate General for Migration (Direcci\u00f3n General de Migraci\u00f3n), either in person in Santo Domingo or online. Flights from Poland to Punta Cana are not direct, but you can easily fly directly to the heart of the eastern coast via Madrid or Frankfurt.    <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-lot-i-transport-na-miejscu-jak-sie-poruszac\">Flights and On-Site Transportation \u2013 How to Get Around?<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The most convenient airport to land at is Punta Cana International Airport, which handles over 8 million passengers annually and is the best-connected airport in the country. Upon arrival, you have several options: <strong>airport taxis (more expensive), private transfers, or car rental<\/strong> \u2013 recommended if you want to freely explore the entire coast. Roads in the east are in good condition, and a new highway connects Punta Cana with Santo Domingo in approximately 2.5 hours. Driving is the best way to freely explore attractions \u2013 of which there are plenty in the eastern part of the country.    <\/p>\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\" id=\"h-zakwaterowanie-i-jedzenie-gdzie-i-za-ile\">Accommodation and Food \u2013 Where and for How Much?<\/h2>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The eastern coast offers a full range of possibilities \u2013 from <strong>apartments on Airbnb for $40-60 per night<\/strong>, through boutique hotels in B\u00e1varo, to luxurious villas in Cap Cana. All-inclusive is tempting, but if you want to experience the Dominican Republic authentically, choose local eateries \u2013 rice, beans, and fresh fish dominate the menu, and prices are significantly lower than in resorts. If you are considering regular visits to the Dominican Republic (and perhaps even a permanent move), check out the <a href=\"https:\/\/casa-dominicana.com\/en\/\">Casa Dominicana<\/a> real estate market \u2013 apartments in Punta Cana start at around $100,000, and interest in short-term rentals is growing with the number of tourists (over 10 million in 2023). Lunch in a local restaurant is about $5-8, a taxi within Punta Cana \u2013 $10-20, and a liter of gasoline is about $1.5. This makes it easy to estimate your daily budget.
