Poles have contributed to this as we have grown fond of this destination, and tens of thousands of our compatriots spend their vacations here. <\/strong> What definitely distinguishes this climate zone<\/strong> from Southeast Asia is precisely this different “rainy season.” We will not witness several hours of rainfall occurring daily for several months. Rain does appear during this time, but the precipitation lasts briefly, at most an hour, and clears up almost immediately afterward. <\/p>\n\n What is most important<\/strong> is the fact that the weather in summer and winter does not differ significantly, is predictable, and over the course of, for example, a two-week stay, is remarkably stable. Temperatures in summer do not exceed 33 degrees, and in winter 29 degrees. It is not as hot and unbearable here as in summer in Asia or even Europe, where southern Italy, Greece, or Malta can “treat” us to 40-degree heat, which is simply intolerable. <\/p>\n\n The lowest temperatures in the Dominican winter are 20-21 degrees at night!<\/strong> In summer it is 22-23 degrees, and if we are not on a boat or exposed to the cooler night breeze blowing on the beach, flip-flops and a short-sleeved shirt are the only attire we need for most of the year. Small fluctuations between night and day, summer and winter, make this a land of eternal summer.<\/p>\n\n First and foremost, the most important thing to note is that the Dominican Republic is completely safe in terms of hurricanes and risk to life or health. Authorities, hotel owners, and residential complex administrators are excellently prepared for any eventuality, and there has never been any negligence observed in this regard from the relevant services. <\/p>\n\n The most developed tourist<\/strong> and investment region on the entire island – Punta Cana – appears to be geographically positioned extremely favorably… or is simply under the constant care of Our Lady of Altagracia? Real hurricane threats have affected areas several hundred kilometers away from Punta Cana. What further ensures that one need not worry about hurricanes is the fact that the paths of these tropical phenomena are simply visible many days before they occur. The NATIONAL HURRICANE CENTER continuously monitors the situation in the Caribbean. In this part of the world, the wealthiest and most influential people from both Americas, as well as numerous American citizens and companies, have their residences, homes, and hotels, so this institution has plenty of reasons to regularly and sufficiently in advance inform about any approaching threat. These are not wooden cottages covered with thatch, although at first glance it may seem that at least the roofs are lightweight structures covered with palm leaves. Beneath them lies a genuine ceiling, most often made of concrete, and the remaining structural parts of homes or hotels are built similarly to high European and American standards. <\/p>\n\n Just imagine<\/strong> that at any time of year you can board a plane and have summer around you that very same day. No European continental “vacation” location can offer this. I will include some charts comparing popular destinations and Punta Cana (the main vacation destination in the region). Anyone who has tried to find sun and warmth in southern Europe from autumn to spring knows this well. They probably found 8-10, maybe 15 degrees… brrrrr. Well, perhaps except for the “Canaries,” but no country close to Poland offers such year-to-year stability.
