According to plans, the travel time from Santo Domingo will be shortened by as much as 1.5 hours, making the region more accessible to tourists and investors.  <\/p>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><strong>So far, 45.53 km have already been asphalted<\/strong>, and another 20.12 km are expected to be completed in the first quarter of 2025. In addition to the main route, roads to tourist attractions are also being modernized, such as: <\/p>\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><em>Cabo Rojo \u2013 Bah\u00eda de las \u00c1guilas (the famous paradise beach);<\/em><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><em>Cruce \u00c1vilas \u2013 Las Mercedes.<\/em><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Why is this important? Because better infrastructure opens up <strong>new opportunities for tourism development and the real estate market<\/strong>. Shorter travel times mean a greater influx of travelers, which will directly translate into increased demand for short-term rentals (apartments and villas). In 2024, 16,596 cruise passengers have already arrived in Cabo Rojo, with over 5,000 people actively enjoying local attractions. This is just the beginning, as interest in this region is growing rapidly!
