Does the lively atmosphere of El Cortecito and Los Corales make it a noisy place, hindering relaxation and rest? Not necessarily – simply choose a property located 5-10 minutes’ walk from the beach to enjoy blissful tranquility. And a variety of apartments is quite easy to find here: the market includes both new developments and resale properties. This place certainly has significant potential for years to come.
2. White Sands (Punta Cana) – Affordable Apartments
White Sands is a community that has access to one of the most beautiful beaches in Bavaro – Playa de Arena Blanca. You can take a slightly longer walk to it, but you can also use the free bus that departs every hour from the community gate. The fact that most amenities, such as restaurants or shops, require a car ride, is compensated by low community fees (and a safe, “gated” environment).
Why is it cheaper here than in El Cortecito or Los Corales? The only catch is that some parts of the community require revitalization – however, this is a purely visual aspect that does not bother most tourists. White Sands remains a beautiful, protected community that attracts new investors every year. Therefore, if slightly neglected green areas and a few older buildings do not bother you, this community will be a perfect choice.
3. Downtown Punta Cana – The Future of Urban Living?
Downtown Punta Cana is one of the fastest-growing regions in the Dominican Republic – and we say this without exaggeration. In this area, you will find various restaurants, shopping centers, entertainment attractions such as Coco Bongo, and places ideal for active recreation, e.g., a wake park. Short-term rental has significant potential here, especially in new communities with access to Cabeza de Toro beach via so-called “shuttle buses”.
This community also boasts a flexible real estate market – you can find apartments here for virtually every budget. Considering the relatively low prices, Downtown Punta Cana is becoming a place with enormous future potential. It would not be an exaggeration to say that this community may soon become one of the most interesting places to live (and, of course, for short-term rentals) in the Caribbean.
4. Dominicus (Bayahibe) – Tranquility and Caribbean Charm
Bayahibe, and Dominicus in particular, is a place with enormous investment potential. It is located just a 50-minute drive from Punta Cana airport and offers beautiful, tranquil beaches, with waters less affected by algae than in other parts of the country. As if that weren’t enough – just 20 kilometers away lies Saona Island, part of Cotubanamá National Park. It is therefore a paradise for tourists who love sand and sea.
The atmosphere of Dominicus is more intimate than in Punta Cana – however, despite this, properties are often sold “turnkey”, fully furnished and air-conditioned. Tranquil tourists who do not enjoy noise and nightlife will be more satisfied with a vacation in Dominicus, but even more “adventurous” visitors will find a few pubs here for themselves.
