The rainy season, which lasts from May to October, is not like in Asia. Rainfall is usually short-lived but intense. More experienced tourists know there is no need to leave their sun loungers, as the rain will pass shortly. The water temperature in both the Atlantic Ocean and the Caribbean Sea ranges between 26 and 27 degrees Celsius. All of this makes the Dominican Republic a leading exotic tourist destination.
